Soon after Bill retires his wife leaves him to his vast vinyl collection
because he's boring, he's stuck in 1972 and he's never learnt to
text. Where did he go wrong? Then he meets Maggie – a force of nature – and
Bill becomes her pet project. Together they embark on an adventure
that forces them to face their demons and brings a new life for them
both.
“Deserved every clap and cheer for it's terrific script and eminently
likeable characters.”

It's 1941 and best mates Irene, Beryl and Edna work in the bandage room at ‘Robinson's of Chesterfield '. This tight knit group look out for each other, so when young, flighty Gladys returns in disgrace things are bound to change. What unfolds tests the friendship between Irene and Beryl to breaking point. Gladys ends up in trouble she cannot get out of. And Edna finds courage when it's needed most. A slice of life from a time when you paid your subs to the perm club, a glass of compo cured your ills and you carried the pain of separation every day.
